In January 2004 I went down to Haiti with a work team of 7 men from various churches to help out at the WISH Mission on the island of La Gonave which is off the coast of Haiti. God gave us a great trip with much accomplished! It was also a good time for me of catching up with Haitian friends who I had not seen in almost 4 years. Those young kids that we did Bible clubs with are now young men and women. Be praying for them because it is such a very difficult place to live and grow spiritually. Every time I go to Haiti I am reminded of the verse, “’He defended the cause of the poor and needy, and so all went well. Is that not what it means to know me?’, declares the Lord.”  Jeremiah 22:16
